FVTPL Library Trustees are appointed by the Hancock County Commissioners, Hancock County Council, and the Mount Vernon Community School Corporation. Our library trustees are residents of Vernon Township who are interested in serving the community and are dedicated to helping the library fulfill its’ mission.
Board meetings are generally held the third Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the library. The Library Board welcomes you to our meetings. We value the ideas and insights of our constituents and therefore allow 15 minutes of each meeting for public input. However, only persons who have completed the form and given it to a Library Board member prior to the start of the meeting will be allowed to speak. The 15-minute segment will be divided by the number of persons requesting to speak.
